Release History
v2.6.7 (29th January 2010)
- Fix for French/German language versions
v2.6.6 (23rd January 2010)
- New security options:
- Public: Anyone can use P80
- Private: Explicitly state which users can use P80.
- WHS Users (Default)
- New Options Tab – Here you can select to bypass the WHS website all together. If this is selected users will be given a dialog box to login to. So users can now directly link to the P80 website without having to login to the WHS website.
- German translation
- Enhanced machine icons relevant to the type of PC on the network
- Torrent downloader
v2.5.4 (29th December 2009)
- Minor update for international issues
v2.5.3 (14th December 2009)
- Installer fixes
v2.5.2 (13th December 2009)
- Installer fixes
v2.5.1 (12th December 2009)
- Cloudberry Support: You can now view your Cloudberry information on P80. In future versions you can start/stop/pause the backup plans.
- Languages: P80 now supports Japanese and French!
- Memory on WHS: P80 now displays the current free memory on your WHS
- Installer Fix: No matter what port/header/ip you use for your default website, P80 will now install
- Fixes in regards to the refresh checkbox reporting errors
- Removal of P80 link from WHS Website on uninstall of P80
- New P80 Logo! Thanks to the team at Cloudberry for designing this for me for FREE! You guys rock!
- Alerts on certain actions on the summary page will now display on the top of the page
- New User Interface design. This new design is not so “scrunched” and is easier on the eyes. Thanks goes to Will (Wriker).
- P80 Service Images share deleted. You can now find the images at \\yourserver\Software\P80 Service Images. No “ugly” share anymore…
v2.0.5 (16th October 2009)
- Now packaged as a full WHS add-in
- Wake on Lan via AutoExit has now been implemented
v1.3F (30th September 2009)
- French users rejoice, this should now install properly for you. All other languages besides English and French are not currently available yet.
- New server icon for computers with a description of Server
- No more errors should pop up if an errorlog is no longer present.
- If P80 first loaded up and auto refresh was enabled, it would not refresh. This has been fixed.
- Services added to be monitored now have the text “Default Image” instead of “” if the default images are used
- Installer will not even start and will throw a warning if the proper P80 directories do not exist. This forces users to follow the manual and make sure things were setup correctly.
- Added keywords “Netbook” and “Notebook” to computer descriptions. If you label your netbook or notebook or laptop one of these descriptions in the Computer Properties of Windows then they will have laptop icons in the computer list in P80.
- Critical Notifications were not being displayed if no warning notifications existed. Now Criticals will show on the summary page no matter what.

Nice addon but when I add a user that has access only to his personal folger all he has to do is clock on the P80 and he has control to everything….how can this be controlled other than uninstalling which is what I had to do?……

The only users who can access P80 are the users who have remote access.

Very, very, very cool. Especially monitoring critical services w/o a RDP session….Well done!
If it’s there, and I missed it…my bad.
If not, get me current and peak memory usage up on that summary page, and I would pay you for this add-in.
Great work.

I installed P80 and it worked. Flawlessly! Very comprehensive list of features and really easy to use. I just love it.
BUT (it seems there’s always a “but”) P80 lacks one essential feature which required me to uninstall it: In version 2.5.3 it allows ANYONE who logs in, from anywhere on the internet, to see things and do things on my WHS that I can not afford to allow.
One example, within an P80 session, any old user, even a guest, can disable MY access to my own account on WHS. Hackers would just love that.
IMO P80 functionality should be assoicated with specific log in accounts to make it useful. The best way would be to have P80 install with acess from no log in account. But to provide the means within P80’s Windows Home Server Settings window to click a check box to enable it for user(s) who should see the link when they log into WHS remotely.

Limiting P80 to select users is in the code and has been given to testers last week. The new version of P80 should be released this weekend.

The top nav buttons only work on the main P80/Default.aspx page and none of the others (like Drives/Shares)
