Experience Level: Standard
Time Traveler for Windows Home Server allows a user to create roll-back points for changed files in any shared folder on the home server. Through the Windows Home Server Console, users can roll-back a file or folder to any point in time.
That means if you ever overwrite a file in your shared folders by accident, then you can simply restore it!

Just last week I was working on an important spreadsheet when MS Excel warned “file cannot be saved”. Since I’d just opened it, I closed and tried to reopen.
The file was gone! Poof. No more spreadsheet.
I’ll give this a go as a insurance policy.

This is only for people with HP MediaSmarts, since those are not enabled for VolumeShadowCopy. Others wont need this since the feature is allready on their server.
This might however solve some peoples headache, as long as it doesnt hog up too much resources whilst copying files. (the product does not work like the VSC on bit-by-bit level)

Volume Shadows do not work for anyone who installed with PP1 or later within the WHS installation, only for those with an original OEM release. Volume Shadows are not reliable enough anyway
