I just retried using Chrome, and it failed, but was successful using IE.

Random I know, and I don’t know enough to say why, but I am guessing maybe one of the Chrome extensions. Its not the first time I ran into that problem.

I will try later with various extensions disabled just to see.

I just downloaded and extracted the file with no issues. If you want to post in the Mediasmartserver.net forums we can try to help you troubleshoot.

Hi,
I have tried to download this several times. Each time I try to unzip, there is an error in the archive, and it breaks the operation.

Is there an alternate download link?

I was hoping to start running a joomla website on my homeserver. However, when I install MySQL, the process is sudenly rolling back at the end of the installation and displays an error message 1603. Please contact the add-in author.

Any idea what’s wrong?

I agree with Mike, I’m not sure Wordpress even works with Wordpress for example, and Gallery 2 seems to be more experimental support with MS Sql but both have been developed with MySql in mind.

Maybe because their is much php based software which isn’t able to use MS SQL?

I don’t know why anyone would really want to use mySQL on their home server.. but ok…

SQL 2008 Express is absolutely free and provides 80% of the functionality of the Enterprise Edition. On a Windows-based machine, it’s a no-brainer.
