Experience Level: Standard

The “WHS Widget” Windows Home Server Add-In allows you to create and maintain a collection of custom widgets that you can embed into your main home server splash page. The plug-in removes the silly picture of the lady with the video camera and replaces that space with a custom widget that you specify. (Keep in mind there’s a button to add the video camera lady back as the default setting in case you miss her).

You can add a Facebook badge widget, a Live Messenger widget, a Youtube video, an iFrame, custom HTML that you write…pretty much anything. The possibilities are endless. Just spend some time on widgetbox.com and you’ll see the endless possibilities.
